Jordan Le Blanc, LCSW
About Me:
Greetings, my name is Jordan D. Le Blanc, I firmly believe that small adjustments and consistency have the power to make significant changes to one’s life. As a Therapist one of my goals is to assist clients in reframing their past experiences from places of hurt/pain to a place of personal/intergenerational growth and healing. I use grounded communication– slowing the client down to identify various perspectives, while co-creating a safe place to navigate forward in ways that honors their current/developing self. I use strength based process oriented healing to help clients identify their strengths and maximize their positive potential– encouraging clients to grow into the higher, healthier versions of themselves.
I don’t have a quick fix approach to therapy. I approach therapy from a trauma informed lens with a psychodynamic therapeutic modality. In processing the impact of trauma on an individual’s life, time is needed to establish internal mental/emotional safety before processing through the healing phases of trauma. I guide clients through slowing down to examine behavioral/relational patterns and processing impact of experiences and establish action steps/plans for moving forward. Furthermore, I work around attachment styles to identify how relationships impact the ways in which the clients not only shows up, but also the connections in which they make. Examining attachment styles and relationships can help clients create the needed safe spaces with relationships from an intergenerational lens within their lives.
Often my clients aren’t coming to therapy, simply because they think therapy is a good idea. They are overwhelmed by trying to manage the tasks of everyday life, while trying to emotionally hold themselves together. They are seeking help and support. Together we explore and identify not only the impact of their collective traumas (e.g., childhood, relational, occupations and sexual) but how it impacts the way they show up in the present day. Together we identify the strengths and areas of improvement, while incorporating healthy coping skills and habits to move forward.
